Overview: In Film Sound is a masterpiece of raw indie rock. Guitars, bass, and drums make up the rather simple composition, yet each track is overflowing with lush sound. There is a sense of anxiety creeping out of each track. Wright proves her versatility in songwriting as well by incorporating slower, waltzy tracks and somber ballads to contrast the bombastic tracks on the front and back cores of the record. Put simply, we loved the instrumentation, songwriting, originality, mood, and album listening experience so much that we had trouble not listening to In Film Sound on repeat.
